Abstract: when selecting the objects of study, first of all, preference was given to those species of red algae, which are quite often found on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea and may be of some interest for their industrial harvesting or cultivation. By methods of thin-layer chromatography and spectrophotometry it was established that the lipid fraction of the studied algae includes 11 different limited and unsaturated fatty acids with the number of carbon atoms in the linear unbranched chain from 14 to 22. Abstract: evaluating the effectiveness of the Foresight methods used leads to their classification into the following groups: highly informative; low-cost; highly specialized and resource-intensive. A comprehensive review of the existing world experience in the use of Foresight methods in the economic sphere leads to the conclusion that it is most appropriate to apply the methodology of its implementation, consisting of the following five stages, following which the most effective strategic plan is formed: pre-Foresight; research of primary sources; expert procedures; creative analysis; interactive analytics.
